Less than 1,000 times download of Xperia Play's PSOne games

Amplify’d from www.betternetworker.com

The first generation PlayStation device that is popularly known as the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play seems to be not so popular among the gamers. None of its title hit the 1000 download mark since April when it got released.

After a survey in the Android market, PlayStation Lifestyle came to a conclusion that the game Destruction Derby was the best with a download between 500 and 1000. Syphon Filter, MediEvil and Cool Boarders 2 faring between 100 and 500 each and last but not the least Jumping Flash managed between 50 and 100.

The gaming service of Sony Ericsson Xperia Play Deals had really disappointed us when we reviewed it. The 'classic' title did not work properly due to lack of upgradation. The graphical glitches, wrong aspect ratio as well as the control inconsistencies has also been a drawback that had disheartened.

Altough, Sony Ericsson is not at all disappointed due to the low sales. In an interview, the head of the market development team of the company, Dominic Neil Dwyer said that, “I think there's... an awareness thing for people who are getting their hands on the device, and where they are choosing to purchase games [also has an effect on the numbers]. There's only a few... PlayStation One titles there, and there's more coming on a regular basis. So there's no concerns. It's a revolutionary device, it's shaking up the market [and] we're very pleased with it."

Do you think that Sony Ericsson has given up with this technology or ill come few more gaming apps soon for a better device? Tell us whats your opinion and feel free to discuss.
